Petros Karamanides
Crisis Director, Taiping Rebellion
Dear delegates,
My name is Petros Karamanides, and I am incredibly excited to be your co-chair of the Taiping Rebellion committee. As someone with experience both as a delegate and as a chair of crisis committees in the past, I hope I can help deliver an unforgettable crisis experience.
A little bit about myself: I am a senior in Penn’s College of Arts and Sciences majoring in Neuroscience. As a member of greek life, I have served as risk manager and as vice president of my fraternity. I currently do clinical research for the Ketogenic Diet Team at CHOP. Also, I do translational research on the hippocampus and the diseases resulting from its dysfunction as a researcher in the Eisch Lab at CHOP. I serve as a data analyst and manager for Penn’s wrestling team, and I often spend weekends working in Philadelphia as part of different harm reduction groups. Most of my time outside of all that is spent reading, spending time with my friends, and watching my beloved Phillies, Sixers, and Eagles.
For an introduction to the committee itself, I will refer you to my co-chair Natalia’s letter. Please reach out to us with any questions or concerns you have before you get here.
