Dado Aw
Crisis Director, Council of Nicaea
Dear Delegates,
My name is Dado Aw and I will be serving as your Crisis Director for the Council of Nicaea this weekend. I am thrilled to welcome you to UPMUNC and cannot wait to see the intellectual energy and creative strategies that emerge from this committee.
A little about me: I am a sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania studying Sociology with a minor in Legal Studies and History. I am currently involved with Intercol, Penn’s competitive Model UN team, and I am also a proud member of the Black Pre-Law Association (BPLA). I am originally from New Jersey, and while I love Philadelphia, I will always insist that my home state has the best bagels, pizza, and beaches.
This committee is set during one of the most pivotal moments in religious and political history: the Council of Nicaea. As delegates, you will embody clergymen, bishops, and citizens tasked with shaping doctrine and navigating the turbulent clashes of early Christianity. As your director, I will be looking for creativity, adaptability, and collaboration as you tackle the challenges of holding together a fractured empire while attempting to forge unity in belief.
I am beyond excited to see how you bring this history to life through sharp debate, bold crisis arcs, and the unexpected twists that only a committee like this can deliver. Please feel free to reach out with any questions before the conference. I look forward to meeting you all soon.
Warmly,
Dado Aw
