Dear Delegates,

I would like to give you all a warm welcome to UPMUNC 58! My name is Abigail Soares and I am excited to be your Crisis Director/Chair for Art of the Deal (AOD) this year.

A little about me: I am a junior at Wharton studying Finance and Business Economics and Public Policy, and I am from Cincinnati, Ohio (go Bengals!). Outside of UPMUNC, I am a part of Wharton Undergraduate Consulting Club (WUCC), the Intercollegiate Model UN Team (INTERCOL), and Wharton Women. In my free time, I love exploring cafes/restaurants and travelling.   

A note about AOD: Unlike other committees, AOD as an Adhoc-adjacent committee structure will challenge you to do three different topics over the course of three days, encouraging you to think quickly on your feet. With this, I look forward to seeing how you all navigate exciting updates, debate difficult topics, and apply your creativity over the course of the weekend. Good luck to you all, and I can’t wait to meet you at conference in November!
