Eric Lemor
Dear Delegates,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the forty-second session of the University of Pennsylvania Model United Nations Conference! And I take even greater pleasure in welcoming you to the UN Office of Drugs and Crime! My name is Eric Lemor and I am your Chair, responsible for overseeing that our discussions about all things drug and crime related go smoothly, interestingly and mostly-legally.

A little about myself: I am a member of the class of 2010 in the College of Arts and Sciences here at the University of Pennsylvania. I intend to major in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, but thankfully that all falls into one major called PPE. I am originally from New York City, have been an active participant in Model UN since high school and still cannot believe that I have been doing it for the past 6 years. In addition to my role at UPMUNC, I also serve as the Secretary-General for our high school conference, ILMUNC. In my spare time, I like to plan high school Model UN conferences, watch movies, spend time with friends, cook, and complain that my UPenn meal plan doesn't work at any Philadelphia restaurants.

This is my first time chairing a committee and I am extremely excited, to say the least. For the last few months the great staff of the UNODC and I have been working tirelessly with the secretariat of UPMUNC XLII, and can assure you that this will be the best conference to-date (and, of course, the best committee at UPMUNC).

During conference I look forward to meeting all of you and hearing your exciting and innovative solutions to the topics we discuss. For now, please feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, funny Model UN stories, or just to say hey! I want to wish you the best of luck as you do your research and I look forward to seeing and meeting each of you at UPMUNC!

Regards,
Eric Lemor
