Dear Delegates,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you the United Nations Development Committee. Over the past year, the dais staff and I have worked tirelessly to assure that you have an exceptional experience. Although this committee will face challenges that may seem complex at first, I am confident you will tackle them with much success.

Currently, I am a senior at Penn majoring in International Relations and French. I was born in Armenia but have lived nearly my whole life in the Washington D.C. area. As a junior, I had the fortune of studying abroad in Paris, and since last year I have worked at the Foreign Policy Research Institute's Project on Democratic Transitions. However, Model UN has been a major part of my life since high school, and I had the unforgettable experience of serving as Chief of Staff for our high school conference. For my last UPMUNC, I am thrilled to be chairing UNDP.

I hope you are looking forward to this experience as much as I am. If you have any questions, or if you simply wish say hello, please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to meeting you and I wish you the best of luck!

Warm Regards,
Ani Gevorkian
