Welcome to the Muslim League—the political party that rewrote the history of the Indian Subcontinent. My name is Mayank Rajgarhia, and I will be your chair in this joint crisis simulation between the Indian National Congress and the Muslim League.
I am currently a junior in the Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology at Penn. I study Business in the Wharton School, and Material Science Engineering in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. I have been involved in Model UN at Penn since my Freshman year. Last year I served as USG Operations, which involved handling the logistics and technology for UPMUNC. Apart from Model UN, I enjoy theater, and am part of a South Asian theater group.
This is our conference's first Joint Crisis Committee set during the period of Indian and Pakistani Independence. This committee is sure to be exciting and stimulating as we set out to debate, analyze and create our own version of Indian history.
Although, we will try to keep the simulation as realistic as possible, from time to time we may deviate from history, in order to tailor the crises to the actions you take.
If you have any questions regarding the committee please do not hesitate to email me. I am eagerly waiting to flip back the calendar and go back in time to meet you all in 1943.
