About UPMUNC
A History of Excellence
UPMUNC claims thousands of individuals as alumni who have appreciated the conference's innovation, magnitude, and spirit. With a forty-three year history, Ivy League charm, and the setting of America's first capital and home to the nation's first diplomat, Benjamin Franklin, UPMUNC epitomizes the rich university-level Model United Nations experience.A Passion for Innovation
UPMUNC is always aspiring to better itself, to innovate and create, and this year we will settle for nothing less. In addition to improving on the success of last year's two MUN training sessions for first-time debaters, numerous out-of-committee events, and integrated use of technology from the moment delegates register right through to the videos shown in crisis committees, we are planning several additions, including a career fair with prominent graduate schools and employers.
A Personalized Experience
The 300-strong Penn staff, led by a thirteen member secretariat, is the backbone of UPMUNC. With a shared passion for international affairs and a wide range of academic interests and expertise, our trained staff powers UPMUNC with enthusiasm, professionalism, and a down-to-earth attitude. The large staff ensures a 1:5 staff to delegate ratio during the conference, making quick response and a smoothly orchestrated conference a given.UPMUNC Spirit
Beyond academics, world-issues, and skill-building, UPMUNC is guaranteed to bring you fun. Located in the heart of Philadelphia, clubs, restaurants, and shops are at every delegate's fingertips, along with the series of daily events and activities we have in store for you, including Cocktail Night, the Pub Crawl, a new Delegate Brunch, and our infamous DelegateFest.
