To begin, welcome to UPMUNC! My name is Cole Hancock and I will be your chair for “The Left” Crisis Committee. I’m greatly looking forward to a weekend of substantive debate, creative solutions, and fun! I know the UPMUNC secretariat has worked incredibly hard this year to make UPMUNC a fantastic experience, and I’m honored to help out. For a bit of background on me, I’m currently the Deputy Director of UPenn’s intercollegiate Model UN team and was involved in our special events group last year as well. I am a sophomore in the Huntsman Program where I am earning a degree from The Wharton School with a concentration in Finance and an individualized concentration in Agricultural Land Management, and I am earning a degree from the College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in International Studies with a language focus of German. I am also a member of the Huntsman Student Advisory Board. Hailing from the beautiful state of Colorado, I love all things outdoors, hiking, camping, and giving back to the environment. I can’t wait for UPMUNC and I hope this weekend is truly memorable. Please don’t hesitate to reach out (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have any questions and I’ll try my best to get back to you in a timely manner.
Sincerely, Cole Hancock
First of all, welcome to UPMUNC! My name is Noah Levine, and I’ll be your crisis director for the Hollywood Blacklist Committee. I look forward to bringing you a weekend filled with intrigue, substantive debate, and fun times! The UPMUNC secretariat has been working incredibly hard over the past year to make this year’s conference truly memorable. A bit of background on myself – I used to be an Under-Secretary General for Crisis Committees for UPMUNC, Penn’s college-level conference, and I’m now a deputy director with Penn’s intercollegiate Model UN team. I am a junior in the College of Arts and Science at Penn studying Political Science and International Relations. I was born in New York City and currently live outside of Albany, New York (for those who are wondering, this is actual upstate New York, not Westchester). I’m also a member of the Men’s Club Volleyball team, where my skill set can best be described as the combination of a setter’s lack of jumping ability and a middle’s lack of general coordination. I competed as a part of my high school’s Model UN team throughout my four years there and loved every second! In my free time… yeah, I don’t have any of that. Back in the days when I did have free time, or when I’m putting off other things that I should be doing, I’m a West Wing fanatic, and I’ll play any sport people are playing. I can’t wait for UPMUNC to kick off, and we’ll be sure to make this weekend unforgettable. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me (email@example.com) and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can!
Sincerely, Noah Levine
We fight to defend constitutional rights, democratic norms, & the rule of law in the United States. We come from different backgrounds, with different priorities, with different perspectives. We have fought long and hard to leave the right kind of America to our children - an America we can be proud of. An America in which hate and corruption are never welcome. An America that is truly free and fair. We have come together. We are the resistance.
If you have any questions about this committee, feel free to reach out to your Under-Secretary General Morgan Taylor at firstname.lastname@example.org
