From the South Korean News Agency: The Chosun Ilbo

A few days ago, North Korean missiles indiscriminately struck the Japanese island of Tsushima. The North Korean "government" stated that this was an unintended blunder on the part of their army, and corrective measures are promised. Skeptics and North Korean experts at the Seoul Institute of International Affairs highly doubted the validity of North Korea's argument. They speculate that aggressive military intentions were behind the "mistake". The North Korean delegation at the United Nations General Assembly refuted these arguments, pointing out to the lack of military and civilian presence in Tsushima as suggestive of benign intentions. The Japanese delegation was forced to acknowledge the validity of the statement.

Credible sources have revealed that the North Korean and Japanese governments have not been entirely transparent. These same sources maintain that Japan was in fact covertly developing a secret missile defense shield. They claim that the Japanese military has been developing this technology for the past 5 years and thus believe that North Korea found it appropriate to launch a preemptive strike on this budding technological development.
